Grantswriters in particular are sometimes forced to make decisions on program development without adequate input from the communities of color they serve. The MultiCultural Alliance of the Association of Fundraising Professionals has been serving the cause of diversity in fundraising for many years. Mentoring and encouraging a diverse base of new grantswriters is an early commitment by the new NorCal Chapter of the American Association of Grant Professionals and we look forward to partnering with others to improve these numbers!
